From 43 rue Grisolle

A scooter is the easiest way to move between the old town, Port-Fréjus, the beach and Saint-Raphaël (3.2 km) without hunting for a car space. At the shop you are handed a helmet and certified gloves: on a powered two-wheeler in France both are compulsory, for rider and passenger alike. Insurance, servicing, breakdown help and unlimited mileage are included; only fuel is at your expense.

The licence you need depends on engine size. The SYM Fiddle IV 50 can be ridden on a car licence, if you are used to two-wheelers, or with the French AM licence, from age 18. The 125s, Honda PCX and Forza, require a car licence held for 2 years plus the 7-hour course, or an A1 licence, from age 21. The ADV 350, Forza 350, Forza 750 and X-ADV 750 are for riders holding an A licence for 2 years, from age 23.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Prices, licences, deposits: answers to the questions we are asked most often.

Which licence do I need to rent a scooter in Fréjus?

For the SYM Fiddle IV 50: a car licence with two-wheeler experience, or the AM licence. For the 125s (Honda PCX and Forza): a car licence held for 2 years plus the 7-hour course, or an A1 licence. For the ADV 350, Forza 350, Forza 750 and X-ADV 750: an A licence held for 2 years.

Is a foreign car licence enough for a 125cc?

No. In France, a car (B) licence holder, even with a licence from another European country, must have taken the French 7-hour course to ride a 125cc. Otherwise you need an A1, A2 or A licence.

How much is a scooter per day?

From €35 for the SYM Fiddle IV 50 to €120 for the Forza 750 and X-ADV 750. The Honda PCX 125 is €50, the Forza 125 €57, the ADV 350 and Forza 350 €95.

Are a helmet and gloves provided?

Yes. A helmet is compulsory on a powered two-wheeler in France, and so are certified gloves since 20 November 2016: the shop provides the helmet and lends the gloves.

What does the insurance cover?

Third party, passenger, theft, fire and damage to the vehicle. In the event of a claim, the excess equals the scooter’s deposit.

Is fuel included?

No, fuel is at your expense. Mileage, on the other hand, is unlimited on every scooter.

What is the minimum age?

18 for the SYM Fiddle IV 50, 21 for the 125s, 23 for scooters of 330cc and above.

How much is the deposit?

€800 for the SYM Fiddle IV 50, €2,000 for every other scooter. It is taken by credit card at pick-up.
